The holidays are officially upon us…where did the time go?! If any of you are thinking like me, you’re wishing time would slow down just a little bit because there is so much to get done before the end of 2016.

As you make your schedules for the few months ahead, there are a few things I’d like to put on your radar.

Lighting & Decor Lounge in Atlanta

We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with AmericasMart Atlanta for the launch of Lighting & Decor at the first market of the year in Atlanta, Jan. 10-17. The open-all-day Lighting & Decor Lounge on the fifth floor of Bldg. 1 will be home to a launch party on Wednesday, Jan. 11, to celebrate our brand and the 60th anniversary of AmericasMart Atlanta; daily lunch and cocktail hours; and presentations, including a series we’re calling Lighting & Decor Daily Dialogues, where I will host a Q&A with an industry expert each day, Thursday-Sunday. Look for more details next week. We can’t wait to see many of you there!

ARTS Awards

If you’re planning on attending the 28th Annual ARTS Awards at the Hilton Anatole during the Dallas Market, make sure to get your tickets soon. It’s going to be a fantastic night honoring the best of the best in the home accessories industry, including many of our lighting colleagues. Tickets are going fast, so don’t delay.

Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday, happening this Saturday, Nov. 26, is poised to be bigger and better than ever. In 2015, 95 million people shopped at small businesses on this day, breaking a record — this is great news for the multitude of small businesses in our great industry. I hope you all get to spend a fantastic Thanksgiving with your families, and then enjoy record holiday sales on Saturday.

Here’s to ending 2016 with a bang.
