October 15, 2013 - 11:29am
Presentations will take place at Dominion Electric Supply Co. in Virginia and Maryland October 22 and 23.

WAC Lighting will deliver three presentations on LED Lighting and organic LED (OLED) lighting technologies at Dominion Electric Supply Co. on Oct. 22 and 23. The presentation is titled “The SSL Revolution” and offers educational credits by the American Institute of Architects, American Lighting Assn., American Society of Designers and other design organizations. Gennady Gallardo, Territory Sales Manager for WAC Lighting and leading designer and manufacturer of track, recessed, undercabinet and decorative lighting, will be providing the CEU course.

Dominion Electric Supply will host the CEU presentations with a luncheon at the following locations:

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-noon, 5053 Lee Highway, Arlington, VA

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2-4 p.m., 14605 Lee-Jackson Highway, Chantilly, VA

Wednesday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m.-noon, 8610 Cherry Lane, Laurel, MD

The SSL (Solid State Revolution) CEU Course educates industry professionals on the primary features, benefits and functionality of LED and OLED lighting, including the differences between traditional lamp sources and LEDs. In addition, the course provides information on the features, benefits and future of OLED lighting.

“What we enjoy most about new science such as LED is that it can revolutionize design,” says WAC Lighting President Shelley Wald. “Luminaires have become cleaner and sleeker than before when we were limited to large and glaring lamp options. We can now provide people with a quality of lighting they never thought possible or knew they needed.”

“Energy concerns may have propelled the development of this science, but new consumer expectations of their lighting fixtures around maintenance, high lumen output, efficacy, quality of light and cool operation, in addition to energy savings, are what make this a revolution,” Wald says.
