Showroom of the Year Finalist: Magnolia Lighting
May 27, 2010 - 9:21am

Finalist, Revenue Under $5 Million
Magnolia Lighting
Hernando, MS

Magnolia Lighting believes its newly expanded 8,000-square-foot lighting showroom is not only the largest lighting showroom in northern Mississippi, it’s the most beautiful as well. The showroom’s wide variety of lighting, ceiling fans, door hardware and decorative accessories represents the newest styles and fashion trends. More than 95 percent of the items displayed in the showroom are stocked in an adjacent 20,000-square-foot warehouse, and are ready for immediate purchase. Customers get the right size, style and color for their lighting. Companion pieces and accessories make it possible to take home a complete package the same day a customer comes in to shop.

An expansion that doubled the size of the showroom created a more spacious airy environment — and enough space for a new Crystal Room that displays more than 50 chandeliers and fixtures. A new outdoor lighting gallery prominently features a large selection of Energy Star®-rated exterior fixtures.

The largest store with the most goods ought to have the best customer service, too. The company’s entry statement says it best. “Everyone from the front door to the back, every employee at Magnolia Lighting has one mission: to take care of the customer. Our lighting and design consultants are trusted with the authority to make decisions to meet customer needs and solve customer issues.” Last summer, when a major competitor went out of business, stranded customers were rescued by the Magnolia team. From ordering missing parts to delivering a whole house worth of fixtures, the team provided an experience that exceeded expectations.
