NYIGF Rebrands, Introduces NY NOW For Summer 2013 Market
January 31, 2013 - 9:21am
NY NOW is a reorganized show with four collections including Home, which will now be housed on Level 3 of the Javits Convention Center.

With completion of the New York International Gift Fair’s (NYIGF®) three-year strategic reorganization, the summer 2013 market will introduce four new comprehensive market collections and a dynamic new exhibit floor layout. The show’s transformation also will include new branding, as NYIGF becomes “NY NOW, the Market for Home & Lifestyle.”

The new website, which is already operational, is www.nynow.com. The current social media handle for NYIGF, @nyigf, will be switched to @nynow as of Thursday, Jan. 31, according to NYIGF PR representative Cathy Steel of Steel Associates.

“The strategic vision we articulated three years ago will become a reality this August in New York City,” says Christian Falkenberg, NYIGF Director and GLM Vice President. “The show’s reorganization into four collections — Home, Lifestyle, Handmade and New — and the repositioning of related resources not only will reinforce the depth and breadth of resources in the New York market, but also will better reflect the way retailers are shopping and sourcing today.”

NY NOW’s 2,800+ exhibitors will be repositioned into four broad market collections, rather than in the 10 NYIGF divisions currently categorized by product or aesthetic.

NY NOW Home will present a comprehensive collection of 1,200 home furnishings, home textiles, decorative accessories, tabletop and gourmet housewares on Level 3 of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. A juried cross-category collection of contemporary design resources will continue to be presented under the renowned Accent on Design® banner and within NY NOW Home.

NY NOW  will run Saturday, Aug. 17, through Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers.
