Nora Lighting helped make the dream of a new home a reality for the Montgomery family of Philo, IL. The family was the lucky recipients of a new home from ABC-TV’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” show.

Nathan Montgomery, who gave up a promising engineering career to launch Salt and Light, a philanthropic organization that feeds an average of 250 families a week through individual and corporate donations. He was selected as part of ABC-TV’s “Heroes at Home,” the theme for this year’s series of shows. The program aired on Oct. 25.

Nora contributed in-cabinet downlights and pendant fixtures for the project. The company’s donation was coordinated by Susan Mason, lighting and design sales manager at Springfield Electric, Nora’s local distributor. Sales representative Ray Shaw of Raymond Shaw Inc. in Springfield, IL, played a key role in overseeing the project and finalizing the arrangements.

“Nora was pleased to be able to contribute to this very worthy effort,” says Jilla Farzan, Executive Vice President at Nora Lighting.
