A new state-of-the-art showroom, Montréal Lighting & Hardware, opened in Mount-Royal, QC, Canada in early May. Built to support designers and their customers, the high-tech showroom is also open to the public.
“We are thrilled with the response we have been getting from the design trade in regards to the showroom, the online platform and our Professionals + Designers Program,” says Fred Naimer, co-founder of Montréal Lighting & Hardware.
“Montréal Lighting & Hardware is a transparent way of buying lighting and hardware; instead of hiding behind a complex pricing structure, every item, online and in-store, is sold at the lowest Canadian Landed Price, which takes into account duty, import taxes, transportation and other charges.
“Canadian shoppers don’t need yesterday’s lighting stores so we built a new one, using new technologies, a transparent pricing model and a platform specially built for design professionals,” Naimer says. “It was time to rethink lighting.”
The showroom comprises a fully functional condo — called the experience room, which also doubles as a training center — where all the newest lighting technologies such as home automation and luxury lighting products are displayed. It also offers working spaces, and certified lighting professionals are available to help designers, who will be able to sign up for the Professionals + Designers Program.
