Primous will work with residential and commercial lighting manufacturers on the global level in his new position.

MaxLite appointed Chris Primous to Vice President of OEM Sales to work closely with residential and commercial lighting manufacturers on the global level. Primous will report directly to Thomas Rhee, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product.

He also was Product Development Specialist and Applications Engineer for Lithonia Lighting, a division of Acuity Brands, and Consultant to the EPA’s ENERGY STAR® Lighting Program where he helped bring solid-state lighting products into the program and expand the use of energy-efficient luminaires and lamps on a national level.

A member of the American Lighting Association (ALA) Engineering Committee, Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Primous holds two lighting industry patents, including one for a wall-box dimmer and one for a recessed downlight.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
