The ART formerly known as the Accessories Resource Team (now A Creative Home Furnishings Network) is not only shaking things up in terms of the organization’s new logo and branding. At the upcoming High Point Market, you’ll see a fresh new face to its event programming as well.
ART has had a nice run with a popular Monday night bowling event as its sole networking function during each market. The off-site outing was always a relaxed atmosphere (all were casual except those who showed up late directly from the Pinnacle Awards) with plenty of camaraderie and good-natured competition. A team from Artisan House routinely took home the coveted team trophy.
Now ART is hosting an even more convenient (but equally convivial) event, and we are proud to sponsor its inaugural edition. Local ART will take place on Monday, Oct. 15, 7-9 p.m. in front of Showplace (yes, the same location where Rick Springfield will perform the night before). For a $10 donation, which benefits ART’s educational programming, you’ll be able to enjoy live music by regional band Mipso and locally brewed Natty Greene’s beer.
While at the event, you’ll also have the option to purchase a tasty meal from a corral of food trucks, which will be pulling in from the High Point area, Durham and Charlotte. Benjamin Vineyards and Winery, a local organic producer, will also have refreshments for sale.
All market attendees and exhibitors are welcome to participate, whether they are ART members or not. Aside from being an opportunity to grab an accessible and inexpensive meal on your way out of the market, it’s a chance to catch up with industry friends, whom I consider to be home furnishings’ most priceless commodity.
