The 26th annual Lightfair Intl., the world’s largest architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, will take place in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center May 3-7, 2015.
The 2015 location decision resulted from the unanimous vote of Lightfair partners, the Illuminating Engineering Society and the International Assn. of Lighting Designers, following independent Lightfair customer research conducted to determine the preferred East-Coast venue. Lighfair, which is staged annually in alternate East-Coast and West-Coast sites, returns to New York for the first time since 2009, when it posted record-breaking attendance and a sold-out trade show floor.
Lightfair will return to a newly renovated state-of-the-art Javits Center, largely transformed through a $465 million renovation and expansion project scheduled to be completed in 2014. The show will occupy exhibit halls on level three and level one.
Lightfair 2015 exhibitors and attendees will experience and benefit from a significantly enhanced show environment with new energy-efficient lighting. Daylighting from a new 240,000-square-foot glass curtain wall enhances the architecture and a new 6 3/4-acre green roof crowns the renovated center.
For Lightfair 2015, the Pre-Conference program will take place Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4, 2015, and the Trade Show and Conference will run from Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 7, 2015. For more information about Lightfair, visit www.lightfair.com.
