Cutting Edge Industries finalized a deal on Feb. 5, 2013, to purchase the Stiffel brand, a historic and well-known lamp company.

According to Steven Filler, President of Cutting Edge Industries, many of the new Stiffel products to be produced will be variations of original designs and will be produced in the United States at Cutting Edge Industries’ 40,000-sq-ft facility in Linden, NJ.

“We took on the Stiffel brand because we felt we were uniquely positioned to return it to its rightful place in the lighting industry: a quality American-made brand made from cast metal with quality softback and hardback shades and durable plated and hand-decorated finishes,” Filler says. “We will be introducing Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary, Coastal Living, Rustic Lodge and Youth series.”

All of the lamps will have a solid brass socket and turn knob switch and the Stiffel logo stitched in the shades (where possible).
