Bill Ferber Closes Dallas Showroom
March 8, 2012 - 4:19pm

Bill Ferber and Assoc. recently closed its Dallas Market Center showroom after 56 years. The agency, which was located on the 10th floor of the World Trade Center, represents Savoy House, Van Teal, Elegant Lighting, Troy Lighting, Hudson Valley, Sonneman and Corbett Lighting.

Agency President Barbara Jordan says the decision was a difficult one for her and CEO B.J. Ferber, but in the end, it came down to where their time would be better spent.

“There have been so many changes in our industry, and the dynamics of the trade center have changed, so we felt we’d be more productive by focusing our efforts on the road,” Jordan says.

This change will allow representatives to spend more time with customers, Jordan says, and focus on helping customers improve their online and social media marketing. The agency itself will also be increasing its online presence with a new Facebook page and an updated website in the works.

The agency will also open a satellite office in Dallas, and Jordan will continue to work in and out of the Savoy House showroom, where she assists with showroom management.
