Bill Clinton to Speak at Las Vegas Market
March 8, 2012 - 4:49pm

Former President Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker at this summer’s Las Vegas Market, discussing the challenges of globalization and our growing interdependence in a talk sponsored by the World Market Center Las Vegas and Serta’s iComfort® Sleep System.

WMC Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Dana Andrew says WMC has considered Clinton as a speaker in the past, but this summer’s market seemed like the perfect time for an inspiring speech to creative positive momentum in the industry.

“Our intention is to bring in a true ‘thought leader’ for a keynote address and we feel Clinton will provide uniquely qualified global insights to business leaders in our industry,” Andrew says.

Clinton’s keynote, “A Conversation with Bill Clinton,” is open to all market attendees, and will be followed by a moderated question and answer session and a reception. While attendees will not have the opportunity to meet Clinton face-to-face, Andrew says WMC will create an intimate atmosphere where all attendees will feel like they had the best seat in the house.

The keynote speech will take place on the market’s opening night, Aug. 1, at 6:45 p.m. in the World Pavilion Tent, which will feature air conditioning, large video screens and a coat and bag check. The market will run Aug. 1-5, and online registration will begin later this month.
