ART to Partner With Dwell With Dignity
August 24, 2012 - 1:39pm
ART will support this nonprofit group, which provides peaceful housing to homeless or poverty-stricken families, during a yearlong partnership.

Following an announcement late last week about the dates and location of 2013 Conference, Accessories Resource Team (ART) announced today a new partnership with Dallas-based charity Dwell with Dignity. Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit group of interior designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty.

“We believe that if we can change a person’s surroundings, we can change their outlook on life,” said Lisa Robison, founder of Dwell with Dignity. “The partnership with ART means that we have an industry behind us that believes that same thing. We’re so grateful! It’s inspiring and it keeps us moving forward as we work to fulfill our mission”.

The marketing committee, which includes Robbin Wells, Dallas Market Center, Kellee Hollenback, Troy/CSL/Littman Brands and Vanessa Turney, Light by Design, spearheaded the idea as part of the new marketing plan for ART.

“The community service project during ART Conference 2012 in New Orleans with Jericho Road Housing Initiative was so rewarding for the attendees, that we decided to look for a yearlong partner,” said Sharon Davis, executive director of ART. “We’re touched by the simple act of making someone’s home more inviting with donations from our generous supporters and decided to look for a partner doing similar work. We found a great organization in Dwell with Dignity.”

ART will support Dwell with Dignity with donations and volunteers and will promote their special projects located in other parts of the U.S.
