Cardello Electric Supply, Cranberry, PA

Pennsylvania’s Cranberry Township is among the fastest-growing areas in the United States. One of eight branch locations owned and operated by Cardello Electric Supply, the flagship store in Cranberry is well-positioned to take advantage of the boom. It features the company’s lighting format complemented by a full-service electrical counter with certified factory-trained sales staff. A central distribution center not far from the Cranberry showroom gives residential, commercial and industrial customers ready access to Cardello’s full line, even on short notice.

The Cranberry showroom displays more than 1,000 fixtures within its 10,000-square-foot confines. There is plenty of room for displays, which run the gamut from vignettes and functional room settings to vendor galleries. Furniture and decorative accessories make the displays come alive. A lighting lab helps customers make informed decisions about their new lighting. The lab has a section devoted to LED light sources and another to recessed fixtures. Lately, the sales staff has been helping to answer questions about new energy-efficient lighting regulations.

Providing superior customer service is a top priority. Lighting design services are appreciated by residential and builder customers alike. Cardello Lighting’s well-trained sales staff is very knowledgeable, able to sell the showroom’s wide assortment of lighting products with expertise and authority. The company is a member of the American Lighting Assn. (ALA), and showroom salespeople are encouraged to work toward ALA Lighting Specialist certification. Factory reps are brought in regularly for company-sponsored ”Lunch and Learn” sessions. In fact, the showroom works closely with its vendors in many ways, including dedicating a good portion of showroom real estate to manufacturer galleries.
