American Lighting Brands has added Thumprints to its family of companies. Headquartered in the Chicago area, the umbrella corporation for Arroyo Craftsman, Framburg, House of Troy and G. Scatchard encompasses a range of high-quality, domestically manufactured decorative lighting lines that are complemented by the 25th ARTS Awards Portable Lamps finalist based in Little Rock, AR.
"Thumprints broadens the range of styles we offer to our customers without competing directly with our current brands," says Malcolm Tripp, President and owner of American Lighting Brands.
Thumprints, an expressive collection of portable lamps and fixtures whose very name conveys the uniqueness of its products, was founded by designer/entrepreneur Allison Davis in 2002. Davis will continue as the lead designer for the Thumprints brand, with potential to design for American Lighting Brands' other companies as well.
"Our complementary design philosophies and business synergies make it a great fit," says Davis. "Thumprints will have the opportunity to significantly expanded our product line and custom capabilities, and further develop our Made in the USA Collection. Thumprints is proud to affiliate with companies that have rich histories and well-established brands in the lighting industry."
American Lighting Brands currently has manufacturing facilities in Southern California, Vermont and Illinois. With its new mix, the group aims to provide a full range of handcrafted products including portables, fixtures, task and outdoor lighting.
Thumprints will show for the first time as part of American Lighting Brands at the June Dallas Market.
