The Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team has announced the winners of the 20th annual ARTS Awards, which recognize outstanding retailers, product designers, manufacturers and sales representatives in the home furnishings industry.

More than 500 people attended the Jan. 17 gala ceremony in The Grand Pavilion at the Dallas Market Center.

The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, is the premier awards program for the decorative accessories industry and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers in every region of the United States.

Finalists were nominated by fellow members of the home furnishings industry, and each finalist had to submit a portfolio that was reviewed by a panel of judges to determine the winners.

This year, the judges include: Mark McMenamin, Senior Editor at Interior Design magazine; Janace Clarke, associate professor of fashion merchandising at Texas Christian University; Rawlins Gililand, retail consultant and expert; Helen Erdman, founder of Helen Erdman Interiors; and Pat Mayfield, founder and president of a business consulting company.

This year, three lighting showrooms were recognized for their excellence: Klaffs, Inc. in Norwalk, CT, won for the eastern part of the United States; Echo Lighting Design Gallery in Omaha, NE, was the winner in the Midwest; and Legacy Lighting & Home in Scottsdale, AZ, won in the western region of the United States.
