Celebrating its fifth year, the Residential Lighting magazine and Dallas Market Center awards honoring lighting retailers will be accepting entries and nominations through Feb. 3, 2014.
The awards recognize excellence among lighting showrooms, presenting top honors to one showroom in each of three dollar-volume categories: Revenue Under $2 Million, Revenue Under $5 Million and Revenue $5 Million and Over. Specialty awards will also be presented for merchandising display, community involvement and social media engagement.
Ten finalists in each dollar-volume category will be featured in the April issue of Residential Lighting, and the winners will be announced at a reception during the June 2014 Dallas Intl. Lighting Market.
Any lighting showroom with a brick-and-mortar retail location may enter the 2014 Showroom of the Year Awards. Manufacturers, sales representatives and others in the industry can also nominate a store. The online forms for both entries and nominations have been revised and simplified this year.
“We wanted to make sure the forms were still comprehensive enough to give judges a well-rounded view of each store, while making the process easier for participants,” says Laura Van Zeyl, Publisher and Editorial Director of Residential Lighting. “In our fifth year now, I think we’ve found the right balance.”
