Residential Lighting magazine, and its sister publications FurnitureStyle.com and Design & Decor magazine, will be hosting three educational seminars at the upcoming Las Vegas Market, taking place at the World Market Center Feb. 9-13.
The seminars will feature three well-known industry experts: Randall Whitehead, a professional lighting designer and autho; Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute; and Michelle Lamb, an internationally recognized home furnishings trend expert.
All of the seminars are free and will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the World Forum on the 16th floor of Building B at the World Market Center.
The schedule is as follows:
Feb. 9: "The Forecast: Color"
Leatrice Eiseman will give a presentation on current color trends influencing the home sector. A host of external factors influence the rise in popularity of a certain color, and Eiseman knows which ones have the greatest impact on upcoming product palettes. Learn about the key colors for 2009 at this fun and informative seminar.
Feb. 10: "The Forecast: Trends for the Home"
Join internationally recognized home furnishings trend expert Michelle Lamb for her latest installment of TrendWatch Live! She'll share her top color and design trends for home décor, then answer your questions.
Feb. 11: "The Forecast: Lighting for the Home"
Award-winning lighting expert and author Randall Whitehead will give an engaging and informative presentation about lighting’s impact in the home. Attendees will learn how lighting can influence a space positively and negatively; enhance color and texture; emphasize depth or dimension; and combine comfort with drama. Plus, Whitehead will share best practices in creating energy-efficient lighting solutions for indoor and outdoor living spaces.
