Having more product selection than any other local lighting showroom keeps customers coming back to Wilson Lighting. In addition to carrying top American lighting lines, the company shops for new designs at Euroluce and direct-imports from European artisans. A custom lighting line designed and manufactured by Wilson is sold under the company’s own private label. To round out the home décor offerings, the store also sells ceiling fans, occasional furniture, decorative accessories, silk florals, framed art and mirrors. Many items are in-stock and ready for delivery. The expansive product offering and the ability to have merchandise right away lures interior designers as well as consumers to the store.
Maintaining a high level of customer service is key to the store’s success. “We attract customers with the unique collection of products, but keep them coming back with our service,” says its entry. Turnkey lighting design services include layout, installation and programming lighting controls. The 36,000-square-foot store also designs and installs landscape lighting systems.
Staff attends the Dallas Market to see new products and stay abreast of trends. They also take ALA seminars to maintain their certification status. Many employees are asked if they own the store because of the way their customer was treated that day.
