SPECIAL FOCUS AWARD FOR EASE OF INSTALLATION
Eco-Counter Under-Cabinet Fixture
Creative Systems Lighting (CSL)
Eco-Counter is a 120V LED under-cabinet fixture that can be hard-wired, portable and linkable without a remote driver or transformer. The fixture uses warm white 2900K LED chips with 60 lumens a piece for a high level of performance in the under-cabinet market, replacing high-output xenon fixtures with a fraction of the wattage. The design’s captive screws, wiring modules and linking cables contribute to its easy installation.
SPECIAL FOCUS AWARD FOR TECHNICAL INNOVATION
Cree LED Lighting
Combining the beauty and intensity of halogen with exceptional efficiency and longevity, the LRP-38 lamp was recognized for its remarkable achievement. It is the first LED lamp to deliver on the promise of LED lighting for retail, museum and architectural accent lighting.
SPECIAL FOCUS AWARD FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY
Cree LED Lighting
The LR6-HE builds upon the design of the original LR6. This high-efficacy model pushes the envelope on LED luminaire performance, surpassing 100 lumens per watt. This breakthrough performance is achieved using Cree TrueWhite™ technology and a unique optical and thermal management approach, yielding unparalleled efficacy while maintaining a high quality of light and a 50,000-hour lifetime.
SPECIAL FOCUS AWARD FOR VERSATILITY
Calculite Solid-State Downlight
The Calculite Solid-State downlight applies LED technology without compromising architectural lighting demands. Delivering 1,000 lumens while consuming only 20W, the company’s proprietary remote phosphor technology redefines how light from blue LEDs is converted to white, while providing excellent glare control and consistent, uniform color across products.
SPECIAL FOCUS AWARD FOR LIGHT DISTRIBUTION
Architect LED Flat Panel
This high-performance, dimmable LED flat panel for installation in grid ceilings is typically used to replace 2x2 and 2x4 fluorescent fixtures. The housing and back panel are aluminum, providing maximum heat sink and thermo control capabilities. White trim is electroplated and the lens is translucent white polycarbonate. Both panels use AC 120-277V input power; are fully dimmable with a seven-level remote dimmer; and wired for smart building controls.
“To me, the most groundbreaking development in this category was the 2x4 recessed fixture that appeared in all likelihood to be a fluorescent fixture with a milk-white flat diffuser. When you dug deeper, you found a very thin — probably not over 1 inch thick — fixture that had the most even spread light pattern throughout its entire 2-foot-by-4-foot dimension. The fixture was totally SSL, or LED powered, allegedly around the perimeter. It was truly revolutionary!” — Lewis S. Sternberg, LC, Lewis S. Sternberg Consultants in Lighting Inc.
