In September 2012, Philips announced it would rationalize its industrial footprint as an important part of its plan to accelerate operational efficiency.
As a result of this program, the company has decided to close the Elgin, IL distribution center and consolidate it with its Memphis, TN facility. Consumer Luminaires NA will be relocated to the Philips facility in Rosemont, IL.
