Robert B. Currey, founder of Storehouse and Currey & Co. [1], was presented with the Design Legend 2012 Award from the Musuem of Design Atlanta. The award was presented during the Gala Preview of “The South’s Next Wave: Design Challenge”, a show that is part exhibition, part competition, featuring more than 40 of the most cutting-edge and important interior/object designers in the Southeast today.
Currey received the award for the vital contributions he has made to the Atlanta design community and the South since 1969 and is the first to receive the Design Legend Award. This award will be presented annually by the museum. Honorees are chosen on the basis of design excellence, innovation, and contribution to their field of design both locally and nationally.
