LED lighting manufacturer Nicor Inc. [1] recently appointed Doug Welter as the new Chief Operating Officer. Welter has over 30 years of experience in electronics and manufacturing, as well as a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute [2].
“The lighting industry is entering a truly revolutionary transformation into solid-state lighting,” Nicor President and CEO Rocklan Lawrence said in a statement. “We at NICOR plan to do more than just succeed, we will excel. NICOR will be leveraging Mr. Welter’s vast technology and operations experience to do just that, by helping us to bring new LED lighting products to market.”
