Ace Rosenstein, president of Bravo Business Media, which markets MyLightingShowroom.com, says the idea for the alliance developed after he participated in a panel discussion with Jason Petersen, CEO at XOLogic, XOLight’s parent company, at last year’s American Lighting Association Annual Conference.
“Jason and I have been competitors for quite some time, and we have a mutual respect for each other,” Rosenstein says. “XOLights helps showrooms more with their in-store and transactional processes, while MyLightingShowroom.com is more customer-facing. If you put the two together, you have a very powerful product.”
Rosenstein says both companies bring a different set of skills to the table.
“I have an in-depth knowledge of the industry, and the XOLights guys are great at the technology side and applying that to showroom operations,” Rosenstein says.
Both products will now be from XOLogic, but the products will still be sold separately.
“We’re still running them as separate products, but hopefully everything will run off the same platform and customers will have the opportunity to pick and choose different features.”
Rosenstein says there are still about 45 days left in the integration process, but starting in the second quarter, the companies hope to start offering additional services.
