High-end home furnishings manufacturer Chelsea House celebrated a stronger presence at this summer's Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
The company debuted its new, expanded showroom with a ribbon-cutting ceremony (pictured) in the much buzzed about 14th floor of the AmericasMart 1 building, a move up — literally and figuratively — from its previous 4,500 square-foot showroom on the 13th floor.
The new showroom spans approximately 6,000 square feet, with 40 percent of the “airy and open” space dedicated to lighting, says Pam Cain, who handles the company’s marketing.
The decision to invest in a new showroom was prompted in part by the excitement surrounding the revamped 14th floor, Cain says. “[Now] we’re surrounded by other high-end designer-oriented companies who are like us. It makes for a good buying environment.”
Common themes throughout the company’s new introductions include the prominence of silver, chrome and brushed steel. Another noteworthy trend was a cleaner, more simplified design — with a pop of color here and there, Cain adds. So far, the reaction to the new space has been overwhelmingly positive.
“It was phenomenal,” Cain says. “Not only is it a new showroom and a bigger showroom, I think the layout and design of the showroom is different. It is more contemporary even though a lot of the product is traditional and transitional.”
