A brand-new showroom for a powerhouse brand, an expanded relocation and two Best in Show nods added excitement to the Dallas Intl. Lighting Market in June.
Ralph Lauren Home, a division of the Polo Ralph Lauren Corp., opened a new stand-alone showroom for its Lauren Ralph Lauren branded lamp line on the 10th floor of the World Trade Center (official ribbon-cutting ceremony pictured here). Previously exhibited in Dallas in the EJ Victor showroom, the table and floor lamps shared space with the Lauren Home Fragrance collection.
Over in the Trade Mart, Morlee Lampshade Co. took a new showroom down the hall from its previous location that tripled the company’s square footage. This enabled display of some of its successful OEM ventures with Ellington and Framburg, as well as its replacement line.
The Dallas Market Center recently announced winners of the June 2009 Total Home & Gift Market Best of Show Awards, recognizing one showroom from each floor of each building that stood apart from the pack. George Kovacs took the prize for Trade Mart 3’s Best of Show, while Murray Feiss earned honors for Trade Mart 4.
“Both showrooms had fresh designs for the June Intl. Lighting Market,” says Naseem Cox, Visual Merchandising Manager for Dallas Market Center. “Their product displays were unique and intelligent.”
Best of Show winners were judged by leading industry and visual/design experts. The judging takes place twice a year during the January and June Dallas Total Home & Gift markets.
