Personnel Updates at GE Lighting, Murray Feiss, American Fluorescent and More
 

GE Lighting has chosen Jaime A. Irick to head GE Lighting Solutions as its President and CEO. Irick will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of GE’s global light-emitting diode (LED) product business for the household and professional markets. He will report to Michael Petras, President and CEO of GE Lighting. In addition, Brian Sroub has joined the company to fill the newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer for GE Lighting, also reporting to Petras.

Barbara Cote has been appointed Product Development Manager at Murray Feiss. Cote has more than 30 years of experience in the lighting industry and has worked in sales, merchandising and showroom management. Her new duties will include studying fashion trends, developing new products and coming up with marketing strategies. She will report to Maria Scutaro, who was recently promoted to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Scutaro will keep her product development, merchandising and supervising duties, and will also oversee all sales department executives.

American Fluorescent has hired two new employees: Jeff Nepsa has joined the company as the Commercial Sales Manager for the western United States and Mark Phillips is the new Commercial Market Manager. Prior to joining the company, Nepsa worked as the Western Regional Sales Manager for LSI Industries. He will now focus on providing advice and product training and working with national accounts, electrical distributors and lighting showrooms in the western United States. Phillips has worked in the lighting business for 15 years, most recently at Juno Lighting and Advanced Transformer. At American Fluorescent, Phillips will be working out of the corporate office, developing products and programs for commercial customers.

Nora Lighting recently appointed Warshaw Inc. of Brooklyn, NY, as its new commercial sales agency for New York City. Formerly Warshaw Electric, Warshaw Inc. has served this geographic market for more than four decades, and represents electrical, data communications, lighting and industrial products to electrical distributors. This partnership is part of Nora’s strategy to producing new energy-efficient lighting products for residential and commercial sites.

Libbe Milicia is the newest member of the Progress Lighting team. As the new Director of Product Development, Milicia will provide creative direction for decorative product design, including new products set to be released in January 2011.
