Steve Rice is the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hubbardton Forge. Rice previously worked on sales and marketing for several companies including Nulco and Northeast Lantern.

Westinghouse Lighting Corp. has promoted Canaan Lawrence to Director of Retail Sales. Lawrence has worked for Westinghouse for five years, most recently as National Business Development Manager. Westinghouse has also named former Northeast Regional Sales Manager David Sargut as the new National Sales Manager for business-to-business sales. During his 15-year tenure at Westinghouse, Sargut’s role has evolved from sales associate to district sales manager covering the northeastern U.S.

A group of lighting industry veterans has started a new publishing group called Bravo Integrated Media. Ace Rosenstein, formerly of Sea Gull Lighting, is the company’s president; Linda Longo, formerly of Home Lighting & Accessories, is the Editorial Director; and Lighting by Gregory founder Joel Horowitz is the Business Development Manager.

Lumenpulse’s founder, president and CEO François-Xavier Souvay has been named one of three Quebec finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 Award in the manufacturing category. The program recognizes Canadian entrepreneurs based on their vision, leadership, financial success and social responsibility. The category winners will be announced on Oct. 6 and the overall winner will represent the region at the Canadian national banquet in Toronto on Nov. 23.

Lumenpulse also has two new hires – Peter D. Karol as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Chris Christiani as Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations. Karol previously served as general counsel to Philips Color Kinetics and Joule Unlimited, and Christiani brings more than 10 years of solid-state lighting experience at companies like Dialight Corp. and Hayward Industries.

Keith Eichenblatt of Orlando, FL, was recently named Home Décor Division Sales Representative of the Year by Murray Feiss. The annual award was given out at last month’s Dallas Market.

Nora Lighting has named LaFace & McGovern as its new commercial sales representatives for western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Based in Bethel Park, PA, LaFace & McGovern has provided lighting sales and support for over 35 years under the direction of Harry McGovern, Jim Mullet and Craig Lockwood.

Joan E. Miller has joined Jesco Lighting Group as the head of the Retail and Display Division in the Midwest. Miller has experience working with international commercial lighting fixture manufacturers, as well as tailoring specific lighting applications in the retail and design industries.

The Accessories Resource Team (ART) and the Dallas Market Center have announced the judges for the 23rd annual ARTS awards. The judges are Martha Griffin, Executive Editor of Design Guide; Donna Moss, Co-owner of That’s Haute design and décor store and a designer on HGTV’s “Design Star” reality show; Melanie Belew, a self-employed interior designer with 20 years of experience; and Susan Inglis, Executive Director of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, who will judge the ARTS Green Manufacturer Award for the second year in a row. Award finalists will be announced in August, and the awards will be presented on Jan. 21, 2012, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
