Nessen Lighting and its sister company d’ac Lighting were recently bought from Philips Lighting by a holding company called the Coldstream Group. Charles J. Florio, who has been involved with Nessen for more than two decades, is now the Chief Executive Officer of both manufacturers, and Robert N. Haidinger Jr. is now President.
According to a press release, the Coldstream Group is owned and run by management who have worked with Nessen Lighting since the 1980s, and who started d’ac Lighting. Besides Florio and Haidinger, the group also includes Robert N. Haidinger, Sr. as chairman of the board. Haidinger Sr. is the founder and former owner of the JJI Lighting Group Inc., which owned Nessen Lighting from 1987 to 2006 and created d’ac Lighting. Donald A. Herner also participated in the purchase, and serves as corporate secretary and legal counsel. He worked with Nessen and d’ac prior to Philips Lighting.
