Lighting Manufacturer Nulco in Receivership
Nulco Lighting has temporarily closed and gone into state receivership, but should re-open soon, says owner Ken Nulman.
Nulman announced on Feb. 28 that the Rhode Island lighting manufacturer would lay off its 91 employees, but emphasized that the closing was only temporary while he looked for new investors.
As of March 4, Nulman had potential investors lined up, and says he expects to re-open very soon. The company will pay off the bank and other loans in the near future, he says, and should be open for communication the following week. In the meantime, the company will continue to ship product.
