Dolan Designs: Belle Fleur fixture collections
The dramatic, graceful nature of Dolan Design’s Belle Fleur Collection has earned the series tremendous success in recent months. Inspired by the Italian island of Torcello, where archaeologists first discovered evidence of glassmaking in the Venetian Lagoon area,  Belle Fleur’s art glass adds beautiful splashes of color to an intrinsically traditional design, while theatric arms and willowy leaf motifs add a sense of movement. The collection features 11 pieces, including chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts and bath fixtures and is available in Acorn finish. Ellington Fans: Ashfield ceiling fan
Offering an updated twist on a timeless classic, Ellington Fans will launch a redesign of our popular Ashfield ceiling fan at the 2009 January Dallas Market in efforts to sate customers’ appetites for truly elevated style. To create this new look, we’ve taken a traditional model and jazzed it up from the original with contemporary art glass and smoke crystal beading and drops. Our goal was to create something fun, but also to keep some of the classic elements that give the fan perennial appeal. This beauty backs itself up with plenty of brawn, as well. The 58-inch model features a concealed uplight, a wall control and a handheld remote. For more information, visit our Web site at www.ellingtonfans.com.
W.A.C. Lighting: Track Currect Limiter
Energy codes can be tricky to navigate as lighting installations can be subject to wattage limitations, which as based on the size and usage of a particular space. W.A.C. Lighting makes meeting track lighting energy codes easy with the new Track Current Limiter, which shuts down the power supply if a track is overloaded. Simple to install, each device is assigned a model number, which corresponds to our one- and two-circuit track systems, as well as the maximum allowable wattage as laid out by California’s Title 24. For more information on current limiters from W.A.C. Lighting, contact us at (800) 526-2588, or visit our Web site at www.waclighting.com.
Mica Lamp Co.: Modern Mica Collection
For 20 years, Mica Lamp Co. has specialized in American-made Craftsman, or Arts & Crafts, lamps and lighting. Now, in addition to what has become our signature look, we’ve added the Modern Mica line, which features a retro, mid-20th Century appeal. Holkotter Intl.: Bernie Series table lamp
The total package, Holkotter’s Bernie Series table lamp No. 6444/1 offers energy savings, as well as high-quality light output and a beautiful, sleep design. The fixture’s intended light source, an unobtrusive, low voltage IRC bulb, packs a powerful punch while at the same time reducing the wattage needed to sustain it. With this new release, we make it easy for you to go green without sacrificing quality of light or aesthetic appeal. For more information, visit our Web site at www.holtkotter.com.
Varaluz: Jasmine fixture series
Stunningly delicate, Varaluz’s new Jasmine family of fixtures implements an interesting mixed-media technique, perfected by a team of Filipino artisands. The skilled craftsmen blow recycled glass into hand-stamped, tack-welded metal flower shades. Poised to age to perfection, the shades are finished with a wax that will develop a natural patina over time; the rust provides a beautiful contract in both color and texture to the torched-metal, tapered-tubing frame, which will retain its original burnish. As we are always eager to accommodate our customers’ requests, the collection – comprising three-, six- and nine-light chandeliers, medium and large pendants and one- and two-light wall sconces – is available with or without the recycled-glass inner lining. For more information on Varaluz, visit our Web site at www.varaluz.com.
Casablanca Fan Company: Indoor/Outdoor ceiling fans
The Atria and Heritage ceiling fans, two recent additions to Casablanca Fan Company’s collection of indoor/outdoor offerings, make it easy for homeowners to extend the comfort and enjoyment of their homes to outdoor living spaces, as well as humid indoor settings like enclosed porches. “There is a big trend toward a more casual lifestyle, with people creating beautiful outdoor living spaces, so they can relax and entertain in their backyards,” explains Jeff Busta, Product Development Director. “Our new models fill a void in the market for classically designed fans durable enough to be used indoors or out. These products truly reflect the best in quality, and the details are rich, timeless and beautiful.” While cast aluminum and iron outdoor furniture was the design inspiration for the Heritage fan, the Atria features a more classic theme, adding an elegant touch to any space. Each fan features a powerful, moisture-resistant motor that is guaranteed for life, stainless steel hardware and the quality craftsmanship for which Casablanca is known. Craftmade: La Vela ceiling fan
There’s a reason why traditional looks continue to hold sway over consumer interest: The rich-toned finishes and ornate craftsmanship lend a sense of refinement and worldliness to an otherwise uninspired room. At Craftmade, such tried-and-true beauties have long been an important fan fashion trend. Among our best sellers right now is La Vela, a classic design featuring ornately etched blades, scroll accents and such deep, elegant finishes as oiled bronze and aged bronze. An LED-equipped, flickering candle accent lighting kit adds romantic ambience on top. On the technical side, La Vela boasts 52 inches, five blades, a 188x15 MM motor and a 14-degree pitch.
