Lighting Around Ceiling Beams
Our expert suggests a surface-mounted alternative to recessed lighting.
We are in the middle of a remodel and found that there is a 12-inch beam that goes through the middle of our rectangular kitchen. We have five 4-inch LED lights in the major prep area on the left side of the kitchen and we were going to put a can light in the right half with two pendants over the peninsula, but we can't do that because of the beam and need a flush mount light. Any suggestions?
