Retired Lightfair luminary Libby Morely will return to Lightfair Intl. this year to host the opening day festivities and to preside over a ribbon-cutting ceremony honoring the trade show’s 20th anniversary on Tuesday, May 5.
Morely, along with industry leaders at IALD and IESNA, conceived the Lightfair concept and, over the last two decades, built the program into one of the world’s largest architectural lighting trade shows and conferences.
Other festivities include the annual LFI Innovation Awards, the 26th annual IALD International Lighting Design Awards and two free masters’ courses (David DiLaura’s “20 Years of Light and Lighting: A Look at the Recent Past with Lessons for the Future” and “Celebrating the History of the Independent Lighting Designer,” a designer panel moderated by Addison Kelly and Bill Maiman).
Don’t miss Lightfair Intl., May 5-7, at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. For more information, visit www.lightfair.com.
