Juno Lighting Group recently announced the launch of its new e-Luminance electronic learning center,www.e-Luminance.com.
The center aims to help fill an industry need for in-depth knowledge on the art and science of lighting, while providing this information in a 24/7 environment. The first content posted covers LED technology, one of the most frequently asked about and commonly misunderstood topics in lighting.
Juno is launching the center with four 15- to 20-minute modules that give a thorough overview of the current state of LED technology. “We want the industry to become more confident in their selection and application of LED luminaires,” says Scott Roos, Vice President of Product Design and Lighting Education for Juno.
Next up, the company will launch two additional LED modules focusing on LED linear lighting products and LED downlighting. For the remainder of 2009, the plan is to add new classes each month, covering a variety of topics ranging from residential lighting basics to energy code compliance. Juno is also in the process of obtaining CEU accreditation for its e-learning courses, expected to be available this fall.
The learning center allows the company to reach a broader audience of electrical distributors, lighting designers, architects, electrical engineers and contractors, as well as providing timely, on-demand training for Juno sales representatives and employees.
