January 2013 Dallas Market Saw Strong Attendance

Good vibes abounded at the January 2013 Dallas Intl. Lighting Market.

According to Dallas Market Center (DMC) PR Specialist Lauren Venegas, the market, held Jan. 17-20, saw strong attendance with increases from the Midwest, Mid-America and the West.

President of the American Lighting Assn. Dick Upton visited with about 55 manufacturers during Market. Many told him that while 2012 was a good year, and better than 2011, they expect 2013 to be even better yet. "Whether people were buying or not, everyone was very upbeat and positive," Upton says of his conversations. "The Market just had the right feel to it." 

Improved and expanded Wi-Fi and cell service also made doing business a little easier for all attendees.

“The combination of the Dallas Market App and our ever-improving Wi-Fi coverage allows buyers a complete Market resource in the palm of their hands,” Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center, said in a statement.

DMC also recently announced Best of Show Award Winners from the 2013 Total Home & Gift Market. Winners from the dedicated lighting floors were Vaxcel (Trade Mart 3rd Floor) and Golden Lighting (Trade Mart 4th Floor).

The next Dallas Intl. Lighting Market will take place June 20-23, 2013.
