The lighting marketplace is changing more rapidly today than at any time in the last 100 years. Much of this change revolves around the innovations that are occurring with LED and solid-state lighting. The unique characteristics of these emerging technologies are opening up opportunities for designing lighting systems that are more comfortable and more effective for aging eyes. They also enable lighting specification that is healthier and more conducive to positive outcomes in human behavior. In this free CEU seminar, we will discuss these changes and analyze design applications where LED and solid-state lighting can provide solutions for a variety of environments.
