ETi Solid State Lighting Inc. Appoints David Rubin as President of Americas
Rubin comes to the LED company with experience in sales and marketing in commercial and consumer markets.
 

ETi Solid State Lighting Inc. announced David Rubin has been appointed President for the Americas. Rubin brings years of progressive leadership experience with companies specializing in LED lamps and luminaires, as well as discrete LED components serving both the commercial and consumer markets.

In his new role, Rubin will report to Eva Chan, the CEO of ETi Solid State Lighting Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of Elec-Tech Intl. Co. Ltd. (ETi), a publicly traded company in China. With intensive capital investments and the gathering of top experts in the world, ETi has been devoting itself to developing core technologies and strategies in the LED industry.

Before coming to ETi Solid State Lighting, Rubin served as Director of Sales for North America at Luminus Devices where he managed sales for direct distribution customers in the markets of general lighting, entertainment lighting, displays & signage and UV applications.

Prior to Luminus, Rubin served as the President for the Americas division of Everlight Electronics. He has also held the position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Brinkman Corp. where he led the consumer and commercial portable LED lighting business. Prior to Brinkman, Rubin marketed some of the world’s first LED lamps and fixtures in his role as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Lighting Science Group.

Rubin holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and an executive M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and is on The LED Show Board of Advisors.
