Dave Rauschuber, National Sales Manger at Ellington, says this acquisition will make Ellington more competitive by expanding its offerings to include families of coordinating fans and lighting.
“Our goal is to make it easy for distributors to place lighting and fan orders together,” Rauschuber says. “Up to this point, we’ve only been a fan company, but competition is tough, and this will help distributors by allowing them to combine shipments.”
All of Jeremiah’s operations will be moved from the current Jackson, TN, location to Ellington’s headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX, and distributors will be able to place orders for Jeremiah and Ellington products together starting May 2. Jeremiah founder and President Cindy Overton will be staying on to help with lighting design, and Rauschuber credits Jeremiah’s rising sales over the last four years to her design and marketing talents.
Ellington will also be leaving its current 2,300-square-foot showroom space in favor of Jeremiah’s 6,500-square-foot showroom (Trade Mart 4902) at the June Dallas Market, which has ample space to display both lighting and fans. Ellington will also release a combined catalog with both company’s offerings in January 2012.
