Bulbrite Donates CFLs to Women’s Shelter
Bulbrite has donated hundreds of compact fluorescent light bulbs to Peace House, a New York City-based emergency shelter operated by the New York Asian Women’s Center (NYAWC).
The NYAWC is a local resource with special Asian language, culture counseling and shelter capabilities to help Asian victims of violence and human trafficking. Bulbrite teamed up with WAC Lighting to donate all of the lamping needed to illuminate a series of fixtures donated by WAC’s W2 Architectural Lighting division. The fixtures and lamps were used in the shelter’s rooms and hallways. The gift kept on giving as the shelter’s energy costs dropped by more than 50 percent.
