Interior design icon Alexa Hampton has been confirmed as keynote speaker for the 2013 ART Conference. The annual event for ART – The Creative Home Furnishings Network will be held May 7-10 at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami.
Hampton, President of her legendary late father’s eponymous firm Mark Hampton LLC, was recently honored as this year’s Design Icon by International Market Centers at the winter Las Vegas Market. In addition to her interior design work, known for its classic aesthetic featuring eclectic touches, she has a lighting line with Visual Comfort as well as fabrics for Kravet and furniture for Hickory Chair.
The designer headlines an impressive roster of speakers for this year’s ART Conference, which is themed “Innovation – Taking Your Business From Great to Exceptional.” According to ART Director Sharon Davis, focus will be on raising industry awareness of innovations and partnering with complementary businesses.
Dwell With Dignity will kick off the conference's opening night dinner, while marketing guru Roy Spence will present the event's first general session. 7-Eleven Executive Manager Mike Debnar and business expert Ira Blumenthal will lead interactive workshops as well as giving formal presentations. Other presenters include Gen Y expert Jason Dorsey and Michael Fisher of trend forecasting firm Fashion Snoops.
Registration for this year’s Conference is $689 for attendees. Single-day registration options are also available for $230. A special rate of $199 per night ($250 for ocean view) has been secured with The Palms.
