The 2010 Lightfair Intl. (LFI) trade floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center — already nearly sold out — will debut two new pavilions: the Building Integration Pavilion and Global Light + Design Pavilion, previously known as the European Light + Design Pavilion.
The goal of the Building Integration Pavilion is to address one of the industry’s biggest “hot-button” topics: green design. It will display companies with enterprise system technologies used to maximize and form energy-efficient buildings and spotlight some of the most successful projects.
The newly expanded and renamed Global Light + Design Pavilion will feature unique decorative lighting designs from globally recognized manufacturers with headquarters outside of the United States.
The existing Design Pavilion, perhaps the most relevant for crossover product to the residential market, will continue showcasing upscale decorative designs with a creative edge, wide range of expression of lighting systems, and innovative, fashion-forward products.
The Daylight Pavilion, the trade show counterpart to LFI’s Daylighting Institute, will continue to display products from manufacturers who have incorporated natural and artificial lighting into their designs, while improving overall efficiency and economic and environmental benefits.
Together, the four pavilions offer a showcase of lighting innovations and designs from all over the world for the May 12-14 event.
